Agricultural Land Restoration / Rural Region Revitalization

Your community revitalization should eventually encompass your entire region for maximum effectiveness.  But, it can start with a primary focus on any of the 12 sectors of restorable assets, at any scale.  If yours is a rural community, restoring your agricultural lands might be the logical asset to begin with.

If you've already got a strong agricultural land renewal or rural revitalization program, it can be an excellent foundation from which to launch your Renewal Capacity Program.

Definition & overview: There's no formal definition of agricultural restoration, as it can focus on a number of restorable functions and assets, such as topsoil quantity & quality, loss of nutrients, health of surrounding ecosystems (including soil communities) that can contribute to productivity (such as through native pollinators, native pest predators, etc.), economic viability of the farm, socioeconomic viability of a rural area, etc.

Restoring agriculture is usually the first step in creating economic growth and laying the foundations for durable peace.
